About Us

We met on a women’s horseback ride in 2009. Charmayne was 49 and Kathy was 57. Both of us had been looking for love and were ready to find a meaningful relationship. Almost immediately we realize we had something very special.

In December of 2010, we had a commitment ceremony in beautiful Sedona and 4 years later, as soon as same-sex marriage was legal in California, we were married on Coronado Beach near San Diego. Our early life was a whirlwind of family and work and artistic pursuits.

When Kathy retired in 2017, we celebrated with a 16,000 mile road trip, living in Zoey, our 19 ft. Winnebago travel trailer. Our journeys took us as far Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Over the next 3 years, we logged another 24,000 miles, including living in Zoey for 5 months while our new home was built. Now we travel by Trains, Planes, and Automobiles. On the horizon is a month-long trip to Europe. When we are not on the road, we live in the Superstition Mountain foothills in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
